I know it's the thought that counts, and I appreciate almost any incremental improvement to bike-friendly infrastructure, but sometimes the French attempts at bike paths, bike lanes, or bike anything are just puzzling.
First an unnerving tendency for the bike lanes to disappear suddenly, for no reason...
Or for a newly minted pedestrian bump-out to appear.
Then there's the obstacles in the bike lane situation. Some of these are also common in the US.
While others seem more European somehow
Anyway, thanks for trying, France!
