Off to our northeastern-most point on the trip.

Sometimes Google and the GPS can’t quite agree and send us down things like this.
Luckily this helpful sign clears things up, and we’re back on track…
Only other sight was this area of destruction - big trees uprooted by flooding from all the rain.
Four fast hours in the pouring rain gets us soaked and dirty to Troyes. After a ravenous lunch in our hotel room, we heads off for a walk around town.
Troyes has several beautiful churches. The cathedral - St Pierre and Paul
Flamboyant Gothic - a great name for an architectural style!
Elaborate rood screen in St Madeline
Troyes is most famous for two things - half-timbered houses and stained glass - that we have already posted lots of pictures of, so I will limit to just a few more…
A return to duck breast for Eric
And something new - French onion soup - for me
