Main rose window
The Assumption of Mary (I think)
It’s all downhill from here…
Aha! This is why it glitters - millions of gold tiles
This is just the SIDE DOOR!
Italians love to ride.
Eric’s favorite thing about Umbria so far (he ate the rest of this guy stewed with tomatoes and peppers for dinner)
Weird tree. Any ideas, Marion?
Then we did a lot of wandering around alleys like this.
A quick game of uno-a-uno?
Actually, I’ll take this one…
Another church, another bell tower.
All-Italy gelato festival (yay!)
Starting in Orvieto… right after we leave (booo)
The “ Underground Orvieto” tour. The city is built on swiss cheese like tufa rock. There are 1400 Etruscan caves under the city that the current and past residents used for milling grain, pressing olives and of course storing wine.
