Yes, we biked through the Alps and lived to tell the tale. It was two hard days, but cool.

Our descent to Albenga takes us on small twisty hillside roads - avoiding the quicker, tunnel-ridden route. 25 miles of downhill feels pretty good!
Intermission… Two hours after rolling into Albenga, we are both struck with some dread disease and lethargy. We blame the only restaurant in Nucetto, and spend about 20 of the next 24 hours sleeping. Also decide to stay in Albenga another night.
