Country roads, and the beginning of the Provence tourist gauntlet.
First stop out of Aix was Loumarin where we Chateau peeped.
And lunch by this interesting, but dry fountain
There’s Bonnieux!
We take a walk around Bonnieux, first up to the “old church” (12 cen) where there’s a great view around the valley
All the way to Mt. Ventoux (hazy)
Windows
Doors
Down down down
And up up up
Trogolydic garages
Alleys
Fresh chevre in the convenience store
Town water source, but no more. Sad after Italy that there are no public potable water sources in French towns.
A newish cathedral with nice windows
Then we hang out in the square for a while just watching the shenanigans of modern traffic in medieval streets.
Whoops, our of order, but a good sunset view of Bonnieux.
Healthy salads for dinner (ignore the side of frites!) overlooking the valley.
Back to the room to sit on the balcony, watch the swallows and the fading light over town and Mt. Ventoux.
