A meh ride. Arah had a cold and sensibly took the train to Turin while Eric biked. What looked like it would be a countryside ride turned out to be a lot more suburban than expected, so Arah didn't miss out on anything except the "Don't fall off the road" sign
And the Textile Museum.
Eric didn't bother stopping at the museum because he heard all the exhibits were fabricated.
We met up at the train station and walked around the corner to our B-and-no-B, Maison Reve. We wandered around Turin, stumbling onto the best gelato we've had so far this trip at Gelateria del Centro.
That's maracuja and raspberry for Arah, strawberry and Cielo (basically vanilla with an obscene amount of blue food coloring) for Eric.
Suitably fortified, we saw some fortifications,
blind test drives from an auto show,
and, of course, the Shroud of Turin Museum!
Dinner was at Da Cianci Piola Caffe. Smoked eggplant pate...
...and spaghetti with rabbit ragu for Arah
Cheese with pesto...
...and gnocchi with sausage ragu for Eric
No room for another round of gelato. :-(
