Just time for a quick trot over to Bologna’s best fountain (Google it, no R rated pix here!) and we’re off to Modena. Flat ride through “light industry” so no pix. Modena is a great town though…
After doing laundry in a real washing machine, replenishing groceries and generally catching up, we are off for a wander in Modena.

Poked around in Modena’s 500 year old city hall, that has hearing rooms like this.

Unfortunately, Modena’s civic museum complex was closed to the public “for a while” so we had lunch - best pizza yet!
And wandered around town for a bit seeing the scenery - like these door handles

Just hung around in the Piazza Grande doing crossword puzzles and people watching. I think we’ve officially adopted la vita dolce.
Our B&B host served us some parmesan with balsamic vinegar from Modena… In fact, from the attic, where she makes it.
More “creative” Italian parking
OK, I know I promised, but this was great gelato - pink grapefruit and blood orange. Made up for a disappointing and pricey dinner.
